The layout of my kitchen was mapped onto a gallery cube. Layers of painted paper cut to the shape of tiles, molding and cabinets were applied to the walls and floors and then peeled back until a gutted kitchen emerged. A future projection of the inevitable state of my present kitchen--as if it existed in the past. The kitchen was a construction of an anticipated memory.
