The hole in the floor is an anamorphic painting that only forms an illusion from one perspective. Here the artist is posing in her piece and the camera is taking the photo from the angle where the illusion creates the most depth. The hole has references the work of Gordon Matta Clark, Urs Fischer, and a London sidewalk artist, Julian Beever.
