Yellow Wallpaper
Yellow Wallpaper
Painted paper, glue, fabric, acrylic paint
9’ x 6’ x 18’
2003

Strips of paper were painted with a yellow wall-paper pattern based on the descriptions in the short story “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Charlotte Perkins Gillman. The piece highlights the obsessive act of the peeling of the wallpaper in the story and the character’s desire for transformation.
