Exploding Peaches (with Frame) (detail)
Canvas, stretcher, acrylic paint, paper, glue, foil, foam, wood
28” (w) x 24” (h) x 5” (d)
A still painting of peaches appears as if each peach was shot in target practice with the image of the fruit exploding into blobs of paint. The exploded peaches then continue their mark-making on the wall in a humorous nod to action painting and Edgertons famous bullet through apple photo.
