West Rock with Branches
Wood, wire, epoxy, archival print on canvas, acrylic paint, gel mediums, sand, glue, hardware
48” w x 65” h x 11” d
A Commission by the New Britain Museum of Art, CT based on Frederic Churchs West Rock. The painting appears damaged and the frame and stretcher bars turning back into branches as if to return to the land. An idealized landscape painting looks to be in a state of failure.
