Valerie Hegarty
Break-Through Miami
Paper, Tyvek, paint, glue, palm fronds, tin foil, wire, wood, feathers
12 (h) x 40 (w) x 30 (d)
Using paper-mache, photography and anamorphic painting
techniques, Hegarty creates the impression that the gallery walls have
been stripped back to reveal an old Miami building interior. The gallery is transformed into a quasi-abandoned space, but is in effect a deconstructed still-life painting.
